Position Summary:
The Learning Coach will play a critical role in supporting classroom teachers, enhancing instructional practices, and promoting student success. Implement new exciting opportunities to collaborate with educators, provide instructional guidance, and contribute to the implementation of innovative teaching strategies within a supportive educational environment.
Essential Duties:

- Prepare, organize and set-up the team centers and support Team Centers(TC) each period.
- Support classroom teachers with timely transitions, i.e., start and stop and transition to and from team centers.
- Support student independence and learning with S2 and A work.
- Support classroom teachers with grading and organizing S2 and A work on a weekly basis, make copies for the team of teachers assigned to them.
- Collaborate with teachers to enhance instructional strategies, differentiation, and assessment practices.
- Support the implementation of curriculum plans aligned with state standards and district initiatives.
- Lead the development and implementation of MTSS plans, including: GT, 504, EL, RtI
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to analyze student data and identify areas for instructional improvement.
- Collaborate with other classroom teachers, instructional leaders, and support staff to align initiatives and support student success.
- Stay updated on the latest educational trends; research; and best practices.
- Support other classroom teachers in utilizing formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and inform instructional decisions.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive school culture by promoting open communication and teamwork.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives, committees, and professional learning communities.
- Support classroom management and substitute as needed
- Ensure objectives are written in Team Centers each day before the first group of students arrive in the TC
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Language Skills: Demonstrate an understanding of the Colorado state standards for English language arts including the foundations of literacy and how to apply those in practice to support the development of strong literacy skills in students. Ability to deepen student’s literacy skills across the curriculum through exposure to fiction and non-fiction texts, opportunities to practice skills in citing evidence to text, and writing across the curriculum. Ability to effectively present information both orally and in writing and to respond to questions from students, parents, and colleagues.
Mathematical Skills: Demonstrate understanding of the Colorado state standards for math including the progression of foundational math skills in elementary and the demonstration of mathematical practices. Ability to engage students in rigorous and dynamic mathematics instruction that utilizes a variety of methods (e.g. modeling, word problems, critiquing the reasoning of others) to move from concrete to conceptual to abstract, building an effective mathematical foundational knowledge to prepare students for middle school and higher math.

Education and Certification:

· Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
· K-6 Colorado teaching license or ability to obtain one.

Experience and Skills:

· Excellent communication skills
· Demonstrated excellence in classroom instruction preferred
· Instructional leadership or coaching experience preferred
· Experience in Get Better Faster Framework preferred
· High level of personal organization and planning
· Technology proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
