TITLE:
Substitute Instructional Aide
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associates degree or 48 college credit hours or adequate experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Typical positions require workers to walk or stand for long periods; lift and carry up to 50 pounds; climb stairs; bend; reach; hold grasp and turn objects.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
Principal or Building Supervisor
Superintendent
JOB GOAL:
To enable each child to pursue his or her education as smoothly and completely as possible in the absence of the regular teacher.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Reports to the building principal or school secretary upon arrival at the school building.
- Maintain the established routines and procedures of the school and position to which assigned.
- Follow detailed instructions provided by the classroom teacher.
- Follows all policies, rules, and procedures to which regular employees are subject and which good employee practices dictate.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary: Based upon District adopted salary schedule for substitutes
Work Schedule: On an as needed basis. No guarantee of being called for substituting
Benefits: None
Hours: Set by the building principal for which the substitute is called to work in.
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Classified
EVALUATION:
As per board policy regarding classified evaluations.
